Do we go on pretending that to be political or to be a culture warrior is somehow sinful? David didn't sit back and watch as lions or bears attacked his flock! He came between the predators and his flock and fought them off! Be the shepherd, fight the battle!
Are we drinking from the cup of delusion? This cup will surely be coming to all of our lips soon if we too refuse to love the truth. The risk is real if we choose to turn away from Him completely, or else if we continue to trust in others to know God and hear His voice on our behalf, for it is then that we become increasingly open to deception.
Think about this: Jesus, knowing Lazarus was sick, still tarried long enough for him to not only die but to be dead 4 days before coming to them. And yet they all got a miracle both in a time and way they did not expect when He rose Lazarus from the dead
I realize that it does not matter if I am at home with family or in harms way on a battlefield with bullets whizzing past my head, the number of days my God has ordained for me was written long before I was born.
