The truth of the matter is, regardless if we are pressing hard against the second coming or not, we are in the midst of a spiritual war where if not already then very soon, we, our loved ones, and those around us will be involved in an onslaught of attacks by the enemy on a daily basis, and we will be made to care. Better awake, sober, and ready than asleep and unaware.
Okay so words might not do physical damage to a person the way that a stick or a stone would, but they can hurt! One meme I saw recently changed the ending to "...but words can shatter a soul". Indeed!
Imagine you are standing on a beach that overlooks the ocean. In your hands you have a thimble. With the thimble, you bend down and scoop in water from an incoming wave. Gleefully you hold it up, point towards it and exclaim “I have the ocean”!
