My husband and I are having dinner guests over this weekend. We went to the store yesterday and purchased only what was on the list, which was all fruit and vegetables – a variety of bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, squash, pineapple and kiwi. That’s it. I was shocked to learn we had spent over $60! As a matter of fact, I don’t think there has been a time in the last year or so when I have not had sticker shock when leaving the grocery store, let alone the gas pump.
Since early on in 2020 we have seen a lot of ebb and little flow in the grocery stores unlike any other time in our history. First the toilet paper disappeared. One by one other things also disappeared until large portions of shelves were continuously empty. Then things started to slowly trickle back in, but it was crazy how certain items like crackers (of all things!) were sparse. Distilled water (something that doesn’t cost a lot to bottle/produce and should not be in short supply) was nowhere to be found for months. Then baby food. This in the midst of mysterious fires in food plants all across the nation. And then you have everything that the government is openly and deliberately doing in addition to send us headlong into an economic collapse, such as shutting down pipelines and paying farmers not to produce food, or ranchers to destroy their livestock.
What is happened through this consorted effort is that many are no longer shocked to motivation or action by the empty shelves, but are being conditioned to see them and think nothing. My husband is originally from Germany and remembers well the visits he and his mom took across the border into then East Germany, and the empty shelves no one thought much of there, either. I was speaking with a colleague recently who lives in Europe. She believes everything happening with fossil energy is not only deliberate but good and necessary in order to break us from that type of dependence and move us into something that will save the planet. This is yet another revelation of conditioning that has been going on behind the scenes for literally decades.
What is the driving point of it all? Global reset towards a one-world government that creates dependence of the masses on a select few at the top for every basic need and freedom. They use fear to drive us towards it. A fear of lack, a fear of disease and death, a fear designed to imprison us while they pretend to be our saviors (like a boa constrictor wrapped around giving “comfort” until the moment it squeezes you to death).
Here is what they do not know and are not counting on: FREEDOM does not come from without. Freedom comes from within. Jesus tells us that we can know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:32). He doesn’t put conditions on the freedom or note that it only applies to certain circumstances. True freedom is not something that can be taken away.
16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17
What does the Spirit of truth do for us? He not only gives us the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7), He is our provider (Matthew 6:25-34), our comforter and teacher (John 14:16-31), He reveals to us things yet to come (John 16:13), and so much more! Think about Elijah with a famine in the land and no rain, who was fed and cared for by ravens (1 Kings 17:4-7) or when he was exhausted and was fed and cared for by an angel (1 Kings 19:4-8). Read Psalm 91 in this same light and think of how that Psalm applies to those who abide in Him today.
I’m not advocating for running away from reality or failing to be wise, but I am a whole-hearted believer that God does and will provide not just food, clothing, comfort, protection, but in fact He is the creator and provider of everything I have, everything I am in need of, everything I will ever need. As His child, I don’t have to be driven by the fear man may try to impose on me. In Christ I have freedom. In Christ I have provision. In Christ I am loved and cared for. In Christ I have fellowship and am never alone. In Christ I have eternal life regardless of what they may do to this cloak we call a “body”. Christ Himself is all I need.
Do you know Jesus Christ? I don’t mean just know of Him, but know Him, authentically know Him? Do you walk with Him? Do you have dialogue with Him? Do you seek to follow Him? Do you have the power of the Holy Spirit living in you? You can!
16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” John 3:16-21
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” Romans 10:8-11
Seek Truth, follow the Light, pray (speak) to the living God and ask Him to come into your heart and life, and confess that He is Lord of all. He will. Then follow Him. Your life will never be the same.
Did you pray and ask this? I would love to hear from you!
Be blessed.
Jehovah Jira. My provider. Amen!
