Satan is full steam ahead to hasten the day of the antichrist, and so many of us are falling right in line, thinking it’s our fast ticket out of here. But truth be known, that is not something he gets to decide.
The Scripture in Matthew 24:14 rings in my mind whenever I think of our Lord’s return: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” How close are we to getting the Bible into every known language. Of course, only Father knows which ones He counts, or if that is even HOW He counts, but we are getting very close!
We are certainly closer than when Paul wrote 1 Thessalonians 5!: “But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day.”
Such a cool thought, the devil doesn’t even get a whisper in for when Jesus will come back!
Hi CA, I know, right?! We are getting super close, especially with everything happening on a global level for the first time like it is! About the gospel being proclaimed everywhere, I’ve heard a couple of things on that- one was a few years back there was something I read where this group believed that based on yada yada, they believed every tribe or language would be reached by the end of 2020 (I apologize for not having more details on it); and the second one had to do with Revelation 14:6, that an angel would proclaim the gospel to every nation. Either way, I too trust it will be soon. But there are certain things the scripture is clear must take place first, and I think far too many Christians are ready to throw in the towel a little too soon.
Actually, at the pace world events happen now, I do not believe we can point to anything in human understanding that would prevent Jesus imminent return, even today. The remaining events COULD all be rolled into things that will happen at the “catching away” of the Church. If His return is delayed there will be more severe “birth pains” until He comes. Even so, Lord Jesus, come.
Yes, even so. I’m guessing you’re like me and you’ve taken the time to study this out personally? If yes, can I invite you to read one of my posts where I outline the events according to scripture that must take place first? I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts.
