Feeling discouraged about the events of this past week?
Hang in there with God! Don’t quit on Him now. Is God only God when He performs according to our way of thinking He should? No, He is God regardless, and worthy of our worship solely because of who He IS and not because of what He does. Remind yourself of this. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Cor 10:5).
In a class I am currently teaching I mention 4 basic reactions of people who are not fully connected with Him in the last days. They are 1) Fear (what in the world is going on), 2) Offense (how could a loving God…), 3) Deception (tickle my ears and tell me what I want to hear), and 4) Dissipation (I am going to bury my head in the sands of fantasy and pretend none of this is happening). We’re reminded in Romans 12:2 to not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Then, it says, we will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.
I believe we are in the last of the last days, put here by God for such a time as this. This is a global scale darkness. Satan knows that if America falls then there’s nothing left holding him back. We need to fight this fight on a spiritual level.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

Prayer is not a last ditch effort. Prayer is your means of cultivating the oil of intimacy and staying connected with Him, and that is what enables us to operate in HIS power when we are weak. Speak the truth of God over your heart a hundred times a day if you have to. Loved ones are going to be reaching out one of these days, looking to us. We have a hope, peace, love, and inner strength from God that sets us apart. Now is the time to let it shine. As I’ve said before, it is LIGHT that pushes back the lines of darkness.
